Membership Information

Who is it for?

  • Medical practitioners (rheumatologists, trainees in rheumatology)
  • Medical practitioners who are not rheumatologists but have special interest in rheumatology
  • Allied healthcare professionals registered with the respective professional bodies
  • Honorary membership to distinguished persons who have rendered notable service to SSR or to the advancement of rheumatology in Singapore.

3 Types of SSR Membership

Membership shall be of three categories: ordinary, associate and honorary. Annual subscription fees are applicable.

Annual Subscription Fee of SGD $25

Medical practitioners, i.e. rheumatologists, trainees in rheumatology and medical practitioners who are not rheumatologists but have a special interest in rheumatology, working in Singapore, and registered with the Singapore Medical Council. Member rheumatologists should be accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Health, Singapore. Scientific workers and researchers, who are active in fields related to rheumatology and working in Singapore, qualify as ordinary members as well.

Annual Subscription Fee of SGD $15

Allied healthcare professionals registered with the respective professional bodies in Singapore and are interested in rheumatology.

Distinguished persons who have rendered notable service to the Society or to the advancement of rheumatology in Singapore and are recommended by the executive committee and elected by majority at a general meeting.

Rights & Privileges of Membership

  • Attend General Meetings
    Only members are entitled to attend General Meetings of the Society.
  • Member's Area
    Members will be granted access to the Members’ Area of the Society’s website and the resources contained therein.
  • Kept Up to date on local CME Activities
    Members will be kept up to date on local CME activities
  • Webinar Invitations
    Members will be kept up to date on webinar invitations extended to the Singapore Society of Rheumatology members by external organizations
  • International Conferences
    Members will be kept up to date on local and international rheumatology conferences.
  • Social Activities
    Members will be updated about social activities.

Submit Letters of Endorsement

Applicants must submit letters of endorsement from 2 ordinary members of the society.

You will be notified shortly

Action on your request for membership will be made by the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee reserves the right to reject applicants without informing the applicants of the reasons for rejection.
