Dr Lian Tsui Yee is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital since 2008. She graduated from the University of Adelaide and completed her internal medicine training while serving the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. She subsequently trained under Professor Paul Emery and Dr Philip Helliwell in the Leeds United NHS Trust in the United Kingdom before completing her specialist training in Rheumatology in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore in 2002. She was elected as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) London in 2012.

She is actively involved in the teaching of both undergraduate students from the Yong Loo Lin and Lee Kong Chian Schools of Medicine and is also involved in the teaching and mentoring of postgraduate students. She is an examiner for both the undergraduates (for NUS Medicine) and also the postgraduate examination for Rheumatology. She is a member of the Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST) Examination Committee and is a member of the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) for Rheumatology.

She has an interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and inflammatory arthritis. She has participated in clinical trials involving novel therapies for rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.

Dr Lian is the Chair of the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinic Management Committee for Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology and is the co-lead for the NHG Health Rheumatology Right Siting Programme and Community Right Siting Programme (CRiSP).

Dr Lian has been awarded the National Day Commendation Award in 2003 for courage and spirit in battling SARS, Excellent Service Award (EXSA) silver award in 2004 and EXSA gold award in 2005.

A/Prof Fong is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). In 2014, he was awarded the prestigious SingHealth Manpower Development Plan Fellowship, enabling advanced training in therapeutics for inflammatory arthritis and the integration of translational research through early-phase clinical trials at both the Department of Rheumatology, University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, and the NIHR Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility.

He is the principal investigator for multiple randomized controlled trials evaluating the efficacy of advanced therapeutics, complementary medicine, and acupuncture for axial spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis. His research incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning to integrate patient-reported outcomes into patient-led care and to enhance the accuracy of diagnostic imaging. He is an active member of the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society (ASAS). In addition, he also has a special interest in ocular inflammatory diseases and is a visiting consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre, and partners the National Cancer Centre in the management of immune-related adverse events in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors.

In addition to his clinical and research commitments, A/Prof Fong serves as the Director of Faculty Development in Medicine Academic Clinical Programme and MD Programme Lead (Assessment) in Duke-NUS, reflecting his strong commitment to medical education.

Dr Julian Lim is a Consultant Rheumatologist with the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy, Department of Medicine, National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. He graduated from University College London (UCL) Medical School in 2017 with Distinctions in Medical Science, Clinical Science and Clinical Practice, and subsequently completed his rheumatology specialty training within the National University Health Systems (NUHS). He attained specialist accreditation in Rheumatology in 2024.

Dr Lim developed an interest in rheumatology during medical school following a rotation at the Royal Free Hospital London, a tertiary referral centre for systemic sclerosis. He was also awarded the UCL Dean’s Research Prize for his undergraduate research on T-helper 17 cells in ANCA-associated vasculitis.

His clinical and research interests focus on rheumatic disease-associated interstitial lung disease (ILD), and he runs a multidisciplinary ILD clinic together with respiratory physicians at NUH. He also helped establish the Nailfold Capillaroscopy service at NUH in 2024 to support the diagnosis and management of systemic sclerosis and idiopathic inflammatory myopathies.

Dr Lim is passionate about medical education, with a particular focus on undergraduate teaching. He holds several educational leadership roles at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and is actively involved in curriculum development and clinical teaching. In recognition of his contributions to education, he has received the NUHS Young Clinician Mentor Award (2024), NUHS Teaching Excellence Award (2025), and the NUH Department of Medicine Best Teacher Award (2024–2025).

Dr Angela Chan is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Rheumatology Section at the Department of General Medicine, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and obtained her postgraduate Master of Medicine degree (Internal Medicine) from NUS and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom). She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, became Chief Resident, and completed her senior residency in Rheumatology in NHG. She also obtained her graduate diploma in Geriatric Medicine from NUS.

She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan in 2022 and completed her fellowship training in Geriatric Rheumatology in Perth, Western Australia. Following this, she established the Geriatric-Rheumatology outpatient service in KTPH.

She is a member of the KTPH & YCH Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee, and serves as the Department Data Protection Lead. She became a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, served on the Young Members’ Committee of the College of Physicians and currently serves as a board member of the Chapter of Rheumatologists, College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine. She is also a committee member of the Singapore Society of Rheumatology.

Dr Chan is actively involved in medical research and medical education. She serves as a Clinical Senior Lecturer with NUS, Adjunct Senior Lecturer and Clinical Course Lead for Year 3 OSCEs with NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and is part of the NHG Resident Physician Faculty.

Dr Tan Tze Chin is a Consultant in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology and Department of Internal Medicine, Singapore General Hospital. She graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore in 2011 and completed Specialty Training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

Dr Tan is also involved in undergraduate medical education with Duke-NUS Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She is currently an adjunct instructor with Duke-NUS Medical School.

A/Prof Katy Leung is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Associate Professor of Duke-NUS Medical School. She was awarded the Clinician Scientist Award in 2017 and 2025 under the Singapore National Research Council. The research interest of A/Prof Leung are psoriatic arthritis, outcome measures and osteoarthritis.

She was the co-chair of the Scientific Committee in the Asia Pacific Leagues of Association of Rheumatology (APLAR) from 2021-2023, and the organizing executive chair of APLAR 2024 in Singapore.

She has been co-chair of the outcome measure research in the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA) since 2017 and currently serving as co-chair of the Education Committee in GRAPPA. She has been serving the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) as a technical advisory team member since 2021.
